Terms of Use
CVora is free to use. These terms set out what you can expect from the tool, and what we ask of you in return. Using the site means you accept them.
What CVora does
CVora is a formatting tool. You type your details, choose a layout, and it produces a PDF or Word document. It runs entirely in your browser — see the Privacy Policy for what that means for your data.
Your content is yours
Everything you type and every document you export belongs to you. We claim no rights over it, and since it never reaches us, we could not use it even if we wanted to.
What we ask of you
- Be truthful in your documents. CVora will happily format anything you type. Whether the qualifications and experience you list are real is entirely your responsibility, and misrepresenting them can have serious consequences with employers and institutions.
- Do not use the site to break the law, or to produce documents intended to defraud or impersonate someone.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site or the hosting it runs on.
No warranty
CVora is provided as it is, free of charge, with no guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular application process. Employers, universities and matrimonial customs vary, and a format that is right in one context may be wrong in another. Check the requirements of whoever is receiving your document.
Export your work before closing the tab. CVora does not save anything. If you close the browser without exporting, your CV is gone and we cannot recover it. This is a deliberate consequence of not storing your data, but it does mean the responsibility for keeping your file sits with you.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of CVora — including lost work from an unexported document, a missed application deadline, or a document that a recipient rejected. Given the service is free and stores nothing, please treat it as a convenience rather than as a system of record.
Third-party services
The site is hosted by Netlify and delivered through their network. Your use of the site is therefore also subject to their terms. If advertising or analytics are added to CVora in the future, the Privacy Policy will be updated first to say so.
Changes
These terms may change as the tool develops. The "last updated" date reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
