Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

CVora builds your CV entirely inside your own browser. Your name, work history, photograph and every other detail you type stay on your device. They are never sent to us, because there is nowhere for them to be sent.

The short version. We do not have a server that stores CVs. We do not have accounts. We cannot read what you type, we cannot recover it for you, and we cannot sell it, because we never receive it.

What happens to the details you enter

CVora is a single web page containing all of its own code. When you open it, that page loads once and then runs offline. Everything after that — filling in fields, switching formats, generating the PDF preview, exporting a PDF or Word file — happens locally in your browser tab.

This has two consequences worth understanding:

Photographs and signature images

If you add a photo or a signature image, it is read directly from your device, resized inside the browser, and embedded into the document you export. The image file is not transmitted anywhere.

Cookies and tracking

CVora uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people reach. It records things like the page viewed, approximate location from IP, device type and referring site. It does not receive anything you type into the CV editor — that never leaves your browser, so there is nothing for it to collect.

Analytics is the only third-party script on the site. There is no advertising, and no other embed.

Your choice. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to accept. If you decline, Google Analytics is switched to a mode that writes no cookies and stores no identifiers. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland nothing is stored until you accept. Your choice is remembered in your browser; clear your site data to be asked again.

Data collected this way is processed by Google under Google’s privacy policy. IP anonymisation is enabled.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify's servers record standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address making the request, the time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. They are handled under Netlify's privacy policy. We do not combine these logs with anything you type into the CV editor, and we have no way to do so.

Your rights

Data-protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you — access, correction, deletion, and portability among them. In CVora's case these are largely moot: we hold no personal data about you. If you believe we do, write to us at the address below and we will look into it and answer you.

Children

CVora is a document-formatting tool intended for people old enough to be applying for work or education. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes — particularly any that involve collecting data we do not collect today — will be described plainly rather than buried.
